Rowley Properties: Giving EBC a Home Since 1990:
Within months of starting Eastside Baby Corner from her kitchen table in 1990, founder Karen Ridlon, realized EBC was going to grow rapidly. She knew she wouldn’t be able to keep working from her home, so she contacted Skip Rowley of Rowley Properties and asked him to donate a storage unit. He, being deeply committed to the community, was happy to oblige.
Since 1990 Skip, the Rowley Family and Rowley Properties have continued their commitment to EBC. They’ve increased the amount of donated space as EBC has grown, and they’ve worked to ensure a sustainable future for EBC – both by working on a sustainability plan and by supporting EBC financially through the Karen Ridlon Legacy Fund.
Kari Magill, the CEO of Rowley Properties – and Skip’s daughter – has served on the EBC Board of Directors for 6.5 years. She is the current Past President of the Board.
